Fairytale Weather

I hate being sick…  If anything gives me less motivation to move its being sick and hot.  I really don’t like the summer and I was born right smack in the middle of it, when the temperatures start to really rise.  I do love how my skin looks in the summer though…  My naturally beige skin will become a glowing light bronze.  Makes me feel exotic…

Though, I have lived in San Diego all my life… and I’m just bored of it.  People come from all over the world to see all the great things San Diego has to offer.  The multiple beaches (I bet Hawaii’s clear waters are better), all the amusement parks such as Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Museums, Parks, Birch Aquarium  etc...  Having lived here for 30 years you find a way to get over it.

We get somewhere around 300 sunny days a year and about 10 rainy days... I could be over exaggerating…  I think I've just become bored of the always sunny weather and I would seriously love to live someplace where the calendar year has four seasons.  I think it’s beautiful to be able to see actual physical change in mother nature without all the pollution of the city life.

Living here, I know my children will not be able to experience a natural snowfall during the winter.  Sure, we can go to the local mountains (Julian has the best apple pies!), but it is not the same as waking up and seeing the ground covered in pitch white snow or the changes of color in the tree leaves except for in a few areas we actually get to see it here in San Diego.  I love the feeling of being able to breathe fresh crisp air without the confinements of smog.

Maybe I’m thinking more in terms of fairytale weather…  If there is such a thing as "fairytale weather" that doesn't look like San Diego’s daily weather…

But I don’t know…  I think it is just time for me to evolve out of San Diego.

Or maybe it's just me having a cold in the beginning of summer that’s giving me my downer outlook…
