Quick Thoughts

I haven’t been able to post on the times that I normally do, had a little more free time before things got busy again.  I'm sure you are feeling it too now that "summer vacation" is over and the days are getting shorter...

Kids are sponges.  We have been homeschooling for a few weeks now and my son has absorbed so much new information, it is amazing!  When we started he was able to add simple problems (2 + 1 = 3) fairly quickly…now he is adding 17 + 8 without even writing it down!  I still have to use my fingers…17, 18, 19…

Cold weather needs to get here…now!  Lately, it’s been hovering around the 90 degree range outside, which means inside my house has been around 5 degrees hotter.  Bundling up in blankets and drinking hot cocoa is a much better way to relax than sitting in front of a fan in a tank top…

One of the best, easy, and fun quick little science experiments I have ever done was make “Goo”.  All it takes is a little white glue, some BORAX, and some water and food coloring.  Mix them up and you have a handful of goo to play with!  Just make sure that you keep it away from carpet…

Thank goodness for Washable Markers.  I swear, my daughter is going to have some tattoos when she is old enough…cannot stop writing on herself!  The best part?  She checks herself out in the mirror when she’s done…

I saw picture of the new Apple Watch and I really like the pink gold with the metal wrist band… (Hint, Hint Backup Brain…)

Speaking of Backup Brain, he’s been focusing on sharpening his time management skills.  I don’t think he is getting it though because he still burns my Pop Tarts in the toaster…

This week Backup Brain made our sons days by bringing home a children’s Scientific Encyclopedia…  Did you know that Hydroelectric Power Plants generate about 20 percent of the world’s electricity?  You do now…

Need a show to watch? Continuum on Netflix… So hooked...

We have chosen this year’s Halloween costumes and the theme is “superhero”...he is going as Batman, she is going as Super Girl…Both costumes are going to be C-U-T-E…

Thanks for reading!
