This weekend I will be taking a drive to Lake Arrowhead with my
Family. There isn’t a whole lot to do there when you have little ones to
look after. What there is, though, is a whole lot of fresh air and time;
time to relax and reminisce.
I got married in Lake Arrowhead. It wasn’t a huge fancy wedding,
just a simple and quaint
one.
With close friends and family from Backup Brain’s and my side. That’s it,
didn’t need it to be anything more. It was lovely and dreamy.
It was also a Catholic wedding, which mean’s Backup Brain is stuck with me forever!
Which we are more than OK with.
Road to Lake Arrowhead |
Inside our wedding invitations we had to add a disclaimer saying
“guest should bring a driving buddy” in case they decided to drink too many
adult drinks before being able to ace the windy road back home… The good news
is that everyone made it home safe. The more good news is that we got to
keep a lot of extra wine!
Just making the motions to explain windy road makes me dizzy… It’s
cliff-road-cliff…
I just wish I could take a nap while Backup Brain takes the wheel
and drives up the mountain, but call me “paranoid”, I always feel like if I
fall asleep while he’s driving, he just might fall asleep too. That
is the LAST thing I want to happen so if it means not blinking then so be it, I
will pin my eyes open...
This is the worst part about going up any damn Mountain, but we do
it because it’s amazingly worth it. The views going up are
breathtaking; seeing all of San Bernardino from 5,000 feet up!
Yes, I am ready…….
