Backup Brain |
Hello
Everyone!
This week, is a special chance
for you guys to get to know me, The Backup Brain! I am one of the many marriage perks you can have! I think I am the
most beneficial one in the sense that if your loved one is stumped over
something, for instance, if they lost their keys (they’re on the dresser) or they forgot who played the prince in
the movie “Ever After” (it was Dougray
Scott…) or needs help figuring out where that extra $10 went (we used it to get milk and eggs), I AM
HERE!
Earlier today, we had a get
together with family and one of my old friends.
It was great to catch up with them as we reminisced about our days in
elementary school (yes, I’ve known them
for that long) and learn about what each of us had been doing for the past
few months. I’m sure many of you have done the same: inviting an old friend and remembering the “good ol’ days”. What strikes a chord with me is that by being
able to reconnect with a friend from that long ago, it shows the power of
having a great friend. I had not hung
out with them for at least a few years, but we were able to get right back into
a conversation as if I had just spoken to them yesterday. (I mean, I did speak to them yesterday, but only to tell them where we
were meeting…nothing too in depth…)
Being a Backup Brain has its
perks as well. It’s a great feeling to
help my (insert cute nickname here)
when she needs it. But don’t think for a
moment that she isn’t my “Backup Brain” as well. She is great at reminding me of why I set my alarm clock to 5:30 in the
morning and she also helps me remind me that when I am picking out an outfit,
Red and Teal do not match (…I knew that…).
All in all, I’ll pop in every
now and then to let you know about things…and stuff…Thanks for reading!
